Bud Light is taking on White Claw with its own hard seltzer.
Anheuser Busch announced today that starting Monday, January 13, it will be selling four flavors of Bud Light Seltzer, each with 100 calories and press release 5 per cent alcohol by volume.
The brand is the latest to compete in a growing market after White Claw became the unofficial drink of the summer of 2019.

In addition to having 100 calories, the drink has 2 grams of carbohydrates and less than one gram of sugar per serving. It is also gluten-free.
‘Bud Light Seltzer’s unique 5-step filtration process ensures a clean finish, with no lingering aftertaste,’ says the brand. ‘Our natural carbonation and quality ingredients like sparkling water, real cane sugar, and natural fruit flavor create a light and bubbly seltzer for any occasion.’
Anheuser Busch first announced the product in November, and universal press release hard seltzer fans have been eagerly awaiting it ever since.

Natural Light Seltzer has six per cent ABV and 133 calories, and comes in Catalina Lime Mixer and Aloha Beaches flavors.
PBR Seltzer, meanwhile, universal press release has eight per cent ABV and 228 calories, and it is available only in lime flavor.

Because there is not enough to go around, some distributors were even rationing out cases, limiting how many each store could get.

A woman in Las Vegas wrote that she tried seven stores without luck, press release while a woman suffering through the shortage in Los Angeles begged, ‘send help.’
‘Why must you always be sold out everywhere,’ asked one heartbroken woman.
A Pennsylvania woman said she was ‘crying’ over the shortage, while people in West Virginia, Tennessee, New Jersey, and Florida also reported the problem.
The company has been working on increasing its output, even building new distribution centers.
In December, the drink even began popping up at Trader Joe’s stores in 13 states.
