Last month, Gethin was forced to pulled out of presenting Morning Live on because the area he lives in was ‘affected by a surge in coronavirus testing’.
The TV presenter made an appearance via video link during the show, and told co-host Kym Marsh and his replacement Rav Wilding that he would be back soon as he had already received a negative result.
At the start of the BBC show, Kym revealed Ray would be stepping in for Gethin, explaining to viewers: ‘No Gethin today – he lives in an area affected by the surge testing but keeping his seat very warm is our Rav.’
