Hi! I’m Richard, the founder and lead editor Water Filtration Systems of AquaDaily. I am a bona fide fish lover, with a large variety of aquariums and fish conserving gear at house. Except for my editorial position at AquaDaily, I also function a coach and mentor to a group of native aquarists and fish keepers.
By putting in a 50 to 200-micron sediment filter before the rest of your system, you’ll lengthen the life of the sediment filters included with the techniques in my High 5. One of my favourite sediment filters is the Rusco spindown filter. Such a filter is nice for trapping sand and other larger particles at the point of entry as a pre-filter. It’s also very straightforward to flush and maintain.
Water flows via our Good Multimedia, which includes 2 kinds of coconut shell Granulated Activated Carbons (Customary & Catalytic GAC) infused with our Eagle Redox Alloys® 6500 & 9500, and ion change resin to cut back contaminants comparable to heavy metals, i.e. lead & mercury, chlorine, chloramine, & inorganic products similar to herbicides, pesticides, petroleum/pharmaceutical by-products and obtain a balanced pH.
