Quantum dots are microscopic molecules that, when hit by light, emit their very own, in another way coloured gentle. In QLED TVs, the dots are contained in a film, and the light that hits them is offered by an LED backlight. That light then travels though just a few different layers contained in the Television, together with a liquid crystal (LCD) layer, to create the picture. The sunshine from the LED source is transmitted by means of the layers to the screen’s floor, which is why we say it is “transmissive.”
